Shehzad joined RAKBANK in April 2022 as the Managing Director of Personal Banking. Prior to that, he was working with Mastercard where he headed Consumer and Digital Products, Processing and Sustainability for Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa. He is an experienced Consumer Banking leader with extensive experience in leading businesses and diverse teams across Asia, Africa, Middle East, and Europe with Standard Chartered Bank, Citibank and ANZ. He has carried out various leadership roles in Global, Regional, and Country Head capacities with a strong demonstrated track record.

Shehzad has also worked as the Head of Consumer Banking for Standard Chartered Bank in the UAE, where through his in-depth understanding of the Consumer Banking Business, Payments and Digital, he was instrumental in driving strategic initiatives to reshape the Consumer Banking Business and thereby delivered a significant digital-led revolution.

Mridul Baberwal joined RAKBANK in 2019 as the Head of Finance and is currently the Acting Chief Financial Officer for the bank. Prior to this, he has over two decades of experience straddling across Standard Chartered Bank, Barclays Bank, Deutsche Bank, Noor Bank and HDFC Bank. He has been instrumental in launching and re-establishing banks from building block stages, while setting up and heading regional and country finance functions. Mridul is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Ghalia is the Group Legal Counsel at RAKBANK. She has over 20 years of experience in the banking and financial sector. Prior to that she was with Noor Bank and worked as Senior Vice President – Legal Department.

Previously, Ghalia held several positions in organizations such as Linklaters in Dubai and Berwin Leighton Paisner in London. In addition, she is a recipient of the Academic Award from HRH Hayfa Al Faisal and the late King Hussein Al-Hashimi. Ghalia was also named one of the top 300 most influential women in Islamic business and finance at the 2nd WOMANi 2019 Awards by Cambridge IFA. Ghalia holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Edinburgh.

Amol has over 20 years of international experience in insurance and financial services industry. After graduating with a degree in Commerce from University of Pune, he has worked with Insurers and Banks in the UAE, India, Singapore and the UK. Prior to joining RAKBANK, he has worked with Allianz SE in Singapore, First Abu Dhabi Bank and Citibank UK in regional insurance roles. He has also obtained CertCII and CeFA qualification from Chartered Insurance Institute of UK and London Institute of Banking and Finance respectively. He is also a Fellow Member of The Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK.

Mohammed Siddiqui has over 14 years of experience in the Banking and Insurance domain in the United Arab Emirates in both Conventional and Islamic industries. He joined RAKBANK in 2010 and previously worked with Emirates Islamic Bank. He has worked under various departments, including Bancassurance, Investments and Wealth Management, and Internal Control gaining diverse experience. He has been responsible for Life and General insurance product management. He holds a Master of Business Administration with specialization in Finance and Systems. He has also obtained Certificate in Bancassurance from Emirates Institute of Banking and Financial Studies (EIBFS, UAE), as well as an Award in Bancassurance from Chartered Insurance Institute of UK (CII).

Priyanka is a postgraduate in Commerce with over 16 years of experience in Sales and Distribution with leading banks in UAE, including 11 years of hands-on experience in General Insurance business with a focus on Motor, Travel, Home and A&H lines of businesses. She joined RAKBANK in 2010 and has been instrumental in driving general insurance sales management, partnership development and customer success. She is actively involved in development of our digital insurance platform and contributes as a subject matter expert. She has also obtained Certificate in Bancassurance from Emirates Institute of Banking and Financial Studies (EIBFS, UAE), as well as Award in General Insurance from Chartered Insurance Institute of UK (CII).

Shameena has over 16 years of extensive experience in the Banking and Insurance domain in the United Arab Emirates. She has worked with RAKBANK for over 12 years and prior to that with Citibank UAE. Her key area of expertise is Insurance Operations and Product Management, Business Support, Customer Services, and has gained hands on experience in business operational function. She is adept at Microsoft Visio, automating processes and cost optimisation. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and has acquired Certificate in Bancassurance from Emirates Institute of Banking and Financial Studies.
